He played like a lion against Murray in Shanghai (11 aces and broke Murray twice in the 3rd with massive winners – you can’t do that with a bad back) and still lost, making excuses and not giving Murray any credit afterwards. 3)He is so condescending towards young players – when Murray beat him in Dubai this year he said Murray’s game has not improved, and when Murray beat him in Madrid he said “he needs to grow up and be a man”. I would like to add that in my many years of following tennis I have never come across a player with such an arrogant personality. Up until 05 he was my favourite player, but I began to notice his true character – his complete disdain for other players and his use of the press to get into the minds of the younger more vulnerable opponents. It doesn’t matter what a great player he is. Tennis is about sportsmanship on and off the court. Federer must not be regarded as a leader in tennis. Sampras is and so is Agassi.
